Notes:

1. The boundaries of the districts used in this map platform are based on the District Boundary of Hong Kong in 2016
2. Please refer to the dataset pages for full details and information of individual datasets. Click here for supplementary information on datasets available in this page.
   For datasets provided by the Census and Statistics Department, the following notes are provided for quick reference:

   • The boundaries of the Wan Chai district and Eastern district adopted in the 2016 Population By-census are not comparable with those adopted in the 2006 Population By-census/ 2011 Population Census. Therefore, figures of the Wan Chai and Eastern districts for 2016 are not strictly comparable with those for 2006 and 2011 in the statistical tables.
   • Applicable only to the "A203a – Proportion of Population by District Council District, Year and Age" dataset includes:
     1. Figures refer to the percentages of the population in the respective District Council districts.
   • Applicable only to the "C201b – Labour Force Participation Rate by District Council District Year and Sex" dataset includes:
     1. The proportion of labour force in the total population aged 15 and over.
   • Applicable only to the "C201c – Median Monthly Income from Main Employment by District Council District and Year" dataset includes:
     1. Figures exclude unpaid family workers.
   • Applicable only to the "E201b – Median Monthly Domestic Household Rent by District Council District and Year" dataset includes:
     1. Figures are compiled based on domestic households renting the accommodation they occupy. Please refer to the Terms and Definitions on the 2016 Population By-census website for details of the coverage (http://www.bycensus2016.gov.hk/en/terms-and-definitions.html).
   • Applicable only to the "E201c – Median Monthly Domestic Household Mortgage Payment and Loan Repayment by District Council District and Year" dataset includes:

   • Applicable only to the "E201d – Median Rent to Income Ratios by District Council District and Year" dataset includes:
     1. The coverage in calculating median rent to income ratio is slightly different from that in calculating median monthly domestic household rent. The coverage in calculating median mortgage payment and loan repayment to income ratio is slightly different from that in calculating median monthly domestic household mortgage payment and loan repayment and median outstanding period of mortgage payment or loan repayment.      4. *** - The estimated number of domestic households of the group is less than 50 (excluding zero). Related statistics derived based on such estimates are not released due to large sampling error.
