This dataset provides the details of consultancies awarded by the Architectural Services Department in the past 12 months (including consultancy agreement number, consultancy agreement title, consultant name, date of award and fee, etc.).

Building Works Tender Price Index (BWTPI) is a quarterly index compiled by the Architectural Services Department as an aid to adjust building cost data for estimating purposes. It also provides an indication of the level of tender prices for new building works undertaken by the Architectural Services Department. The BWTPI does not reflect the level of tender prices for building services works. It is computed in a similar way to that used by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' Building Cost Information Service in the United Kingdom. The value in the first quarter of 1970 is taken to be the base index value of 100, and subsequent values are expressed in index form based on the first quarter 1970 value.

1. The Building Services Tender Price Index (BSTPI) reflects the tender prices for building services installations in new building works undertaken by the Architectural Services Department. It complements the Building Works Tender Price Index for new building works undertaken by Architectural Services Department (BWTPI) which excludes building services works. It was first compiled in the 4th quarter of 1989 and the value for the 4th quarter of 1989 was taken as the base index of 100. Subsequent values are expressed in index form based on the 4th quarter 1989 value. The BSTPI is calculated in a manner similar to the BWTPI. The index value of a quarter is compiled based on a base schedule of items and according to the tendered rates of the items in that quarter. 2. Since the 1st quarter of 1999, the BSTPI figures had been compiled using a revised base schedule of items (1998 base) and with conversion to the common base index 100 at 1989. The index figures as from the 1st quarter of 2009 were compiled using the revised base schedule (2007 base) of items and with conversion to the common base index 100 at 1989. 3. From the 2nd quarter of 2015 onwards, the index figures are compiled using a new base schedule (2012 base) of items which is formulated with reference to the contracts awarded from 3rd quarter of 2009 to 2nd quarter of 2012 and with conversion to the common base index 100 at 1989. The BSTPIs (figures with #) compiled using the new base schedule (2012 base) from the 1st quarter of 2013 to the 2nd quarter of 2014 are also shown for reference.
