The Buildings Department is establishing a database of private building information which include address, building type, building usage, block ID, occupation permit date and occupation permit number of the buildings.

Registers of Buildings Department

Registers of Authorized Persons, engineers, inspectors and contractors of the Buildings Department. The file provide basic information, contact information, registration number, services provided (if applicable), etc. of registered individuals / companies. These registers are provided by Buildings Department for public inspection to facilitate compliance with the Buildings Ordinance only.

List of Building Materials

Central Data Bank (CDB) has been set up to provide lists of building materials, components and construction systems that have been accepted by individual government departments/organisations (the Administrator). Using a building material, component or construction system that appears on the lists shall not be construed as automatic acceptance to a project by the respective department/organisation. Building materials are one of the datasets listed in CDB.

Modular Integrated Construction (MiC)

Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) refers to a construction whereby free-standing integrated modules (completed with finishes, fixtures and fittings) are manufactured in a prefabrication factory and then transported to site for installation in a building. With a view to facilitating wider use of MiC for private building developments in Hong Kong, the Buildings Department (BD) has set up a pre-acceptance mechanism for granting in-principle acceptance to MiC systems/components. MiC systems accepted by the BD will be shown in BD website for reference by the public and practitioners.

Public Open Space - Areas within private properties dedicated for public use

Some areas within some private properties in Hong Kong are dedicated for public passage by an agreement made between the owner of the respective property and the Government. A deed of dedication is executed for this purpose. In addition, some of these dedicated areas may also be permitted for other uses as specified in the deed. Summary of Gross Floor Area (GFA) Concessions and Related Information of Private Developments

In Hong Kong, the design and construction of private developments is subject to control under the Buildings Ordinance. In the approval of plans, GFA may be disregarded or exempted under the Buildings Ordinance and its allied regulations. Bonus GFA may also be granted in return for areas within private developments dedicated for public passage or surrendered for street widening. To enhance transparency, the information on GFA concessions in private developments completed after August 2010 is now published on BD's website. The information includes estimated energy performance / consumption, results of assessment under BEAM Plus certification and greenery areas of the developments where applicable. We will regularly update the information. Legal/Validated Signboards Database

Buildings Department
The Buildings Department is establishing a database of all legal and validated signboards to facilitate control and enforcement actions. The information of such signboards will be uploaded to the Government's [GeoInfo Map](https://www.map.gov.hk/gm/map/search/faci/BDLSMW/?lg=en) for its staff and public's reference. The database will be updated regularly.

Statutory Orders issued on unauthorised building works of the buildings

The Buildings Department is establishing a database of buildings with Removal Order(s) of Unauthoized Buildings Works issued under Section 24 of the Buildings Ordinance. This database will be uploaded to the Common Spatial Data Infrastructure for reference.

List of Demolished Buildings

Buildings Department
The Buildings Department (BD) is establishing a database of buildings which were demolished after 2022. The information related to the Certificate on Completion of Demolition Works for private buildings submitted by the Authorized Persons and acknowledged by BD will be uploaded to this database.
